The Grimes Health Resource Center is currently providing residents with information and advocacy they need to access a broad range of community resources and services.
The services are open and available to anyone living in Grimes County.



Senior Meals

Senior meals allows a meal to be delivered to homebound seniors over the age of 60, who qualify.


Transportation Program

People without reliable transportation needing a ride for health-related reasons, such as medical appointments, pharmacy, grocery store, or food pantry are eligible to ride at no charge. Persons riding alone, must be able to get in and out of the van unassisted. We are wheelchair accessible, but you must have someone with you if you need help to your appointment. Transportation is dependent on availability. Rides should be scheduled at least two days in advance by calling the Resource Center at (936) 870-4575.

Grimes Health Resource Center refers clients to different service providers from around the Bryan/ College Station area.

Our Services


Community Clothes Closet

Clothing is offered free to Grimes County citizens in need.

Clothes Closet hours 

Monday 10-2 (excluding hours)

Donations are accepted during office hours.

Volunteers are welcome


Basic Needs

Clients are able to get personal items that are not able to be purchased with food stamps.

Items collected that can be donated are:

  • toothpaste

  • tooth brush

  • body soap

  • shampoo/conditioner

  • toilet paper

  • paper towels

  • dish soap


Limited Utility Assistance

Limited financial assistance is offered through a grant and sponsors. This is offered to Grimes County residents in financial need. It is based on availability and what the need is. Some examples are medication, utility, and food assistance.
